[Letter] 1874 August 5, Port Byron, N.Y. : [to] John Hayden, New York City.

The letter, signed EMB, is from the company agent to Hayden, the owner of the factory. It describes an incident in which a dipper of water is thrown on a visitor to the mill by an unknown worker in the weave room. EMB tells Hayden that he had better come home as EMB "has borne with these insults about as long as I shall."
